Our Story

Facing Mt. Kenya Group of Schools began with Kirinyaga Township Primary School, founded in 1986. Five years later, the boys’ and girls’ schools were established by our director, Mrs. Sarah Wangui Muriithi. Located near Kerugoya Referral Hospital, we provide a holistic education that nurtures both academic and co-curricular excellence.

According to Felix Madongo, the Boys’ School Principal, students enjoy weekend swimming and karate classes. We welcome Form 1, 2, and 3 students, preparing them for bright futures—our alumni thrive in government institutions and as entrepreneurs.

Weekly Christian Fellowships

As a Christian-based school, we prioritize spiritual growth and moral integrity through our weekly fellowship sessions. These gatherings provide students with an opportunity to worship, reflect, and receive guidance from renowned Christian leaders, local pastors, and professional counselors.

Our fellowship sessions also include one-on-one counseling, offering students a safe space to share their concerns and receive personalized mentorship and support. Through these sessions, we nurture discipline, resilience, and strong values, shaping our students into confident and principled individuals ready to impact society positively.
